“Project of the Year Award” – awarded in 2007 by the American Public Works Association, San Diego and Imperial Counties Chapter for the Design of City of Santee, City Maintenance Facility Yard

The new five (5) acre City Yard that houses the following City Maintenance and Operations staff, shops, fueling stations, vehicle wash facility, material bins, green materials drying bins, retention basin, lay-down yard, covered vehicle parking, and all furniture selection and procurement.

The project Administrative Offices and crew rooms are designed as neighborhoods within one larger community. That each have their own space but share adjacent amenities. The operational side of the District was planned using workshops with district staff to design their workstation.
