Project Description

The project involves the renovation and reconfiguration of several designated areas within B-29 to improve way finding, optimize function and comfort for patients and work spaces, and provide better security control. It also involves the integration of the Quest system. Departments directly involved include Primary Care, Blood Draw Lab, Blood Donor Lab, Anti-Coagulation Lab, Occupational Health, and Orthopedics. The project will be completed in phases.

The first phase of work would consist of approximately 13,000 gross square feet involving the re-configuration of designated spaces for the Primary Care and the Blood Lab Departments, as well as refurbishment of the restrooms (12 total). Selected areas of proposed mill work for nurse’s stations and reception are to be included for both departments. The work also includes new furniture for the lobby area. The remainder of the scope in this phase will involve replacing the floor and ceiling finish, as well as re-painting of the departments. GPa has developed the design and phasing plan for this project.
