Pump Station
Located within a large residential park, and adjacent to a lake used as a drinking water reservoir, the Continental Lift Station is on a site that is both sensitive and challenging. It replaces a lift station that was more than 40 years old, increasing the sewage capacity from 375 to 2,100 gallons per minute. The former lift station was replaced because it was beyond its useful life and in poor shape, therefore threatening the safety of the adjacent lake and increasing the possibility of sewage spills. The station is embedded on the side of a slope and artfully blends with the scenery of the surrounding park grounds and homes overlooking Canyon Lake.
