Community Center
The City of Barstow City Hall Campus Renovation and Addition is planned for four phases to allow for budget constraints and occupancy during construction. The existing facility consists of a building built in the late sixties surrounded with adjacent portable units to support the current overcrowded staff conditions.
Phase 1: consists of expanded parking for the employees
Phase 2: Addition of two (2) ancillary buildings. It addresses minor repairs and some exterior enhancements to the existing façade.
Phase 3: Addition and renovation to the Police Department side of the civic center. Police department expands from 6,700sf to 11,700sf.
Phase 4: Addition and complete renovation of the remaining civic center portion with an enhanced façade for the entire building. The civic center facilities minus the police department expands from 10,700sf to 23,000sf.
The renovation will give the employees and community a more comfortable and energy efficient building to inhabit, as well as serve as a new landmark for the City of Barstow.
